Still no camera

Well, I've fallen down here.  And still, my camera is in John's truck.  So, no new pics yet.  We made six wintery thank you cards in an adorable tote.  I will be sure to get all updated this weekend.

Also wanted to be sure to post.  There wasn't much response, so I'm not going to host a class later this month.  I have some scrapbooking I need to get caught up on, and I plan to spend the weekend doing so.

More in a day or two...thanks for your patience.

Some say I'm crazy...

...and I'm begining to see it myself.  I have my monthly technique camp today (in 2 1/2 hours) and I have only partially completed the project, I need to go to the store for our "light refreshments" and I still have some house cleaning to complete.  Yet, here I am on the computer...anxious to post instructions and such on today's projects.  We're making the cutest box/tote to hold the cards, and I think six cards to go inside...all thank you cards with a wintery snowflake theme to send after we receive all those wonderful holiday gifts!

I haven't been able to post pic's for a couple days.  John and Jake are gone hunting, and I think they lifted (ever so slyly) my camera and took it with them.  Its pretty tough to scan a box, so I have to wait for them to return before I can actually take the pics to post!

Yesterday I attended the SU! Regional Training Seminar and it was a great "booster shot" for inspiration and motivation!  I have some samples made with THE most adorable set that will be in next year's catty...I didn't think I liked it when I rec'd it...in fact almost sighed with disappointment over the fact that I had to rearrange my schedule at the last minute to get there (due to my Alzheimer's-like memory).  But then we began to use it.  It is versatile and I actually fell in love with it!  Funny how that happens!

So, keep watching.  I'll post pics later, and an update on how the class went.  I'll also be drawing the name of the winner from the intro to this site, so I'll post that too!  I better get going or I'm going to make myself crazier than I already am!!!

Thoughts on November 24th

Well, I'm thinking this could be a good thing.  I've gotten a few replies (entries into the drawing) and I'm getting favorable feedback. 

I thought I would quickly throw out an idea I have for that shopping reprieve the day after Thanksgiving....at that point its a bit much to make gifts (though its been fun in the past).  I was wondering if anyone would be interested in "Presenting Your Presents" - a class where you make gift bags, gift card holders, money holders, gift wrap, and gift boxes...maybe tags for gifts, or 3x3 notecards -it would be all about the presentation.  I'm still mulling over the whole thing (how many items would you make, how much would it cost, etc) but wanted to get your feedback on whether that would appeal to any of you.  Let me know, as I want to get that hammered out soon (I need to order the supplies too). 

To keep it all interesting, I found this tag...made with punches...how cute is this?  We could replicate it...it isn't too hard! Let me know what you think...and thanks for looking!

Gettin' Jiggy with It

Ok, so as I try to figure this whole thing out, I'm trying different things.  I was able to post an album with some hoiday samples and now I've figured out how to add the copyright to the photos so I'll be doing that to all future photo posts. Now I wanted to try to post a photo in the text of the post...so here goes...wish us luck (me to get it done, you to actually view the photo and not have me drone on and on about the process of learning how to administer a blog)...1, 2, 3...  WOO HOO!  It worked!  Well, almost.  I managed to get it done, but of course, it wasn't quite the quick and simple copy/paste that I had hoped.  Anyway, we had shared success, so thank you for your patience, and enjoy!

Welcome

Well, it would seem I am on a quest for the perfect tool to share my love of stamping and paper crafting.  I've dreamt of having a robust website with lots of features and interactive tools, but between my limited knowledge and the prohibitive cost of a designer, I've been hesitant.

I've been surfing some blogs created by other stampers (most of whom are absolutely awesome and I'll add as links for your browsing pleasure), and I have to say, I'm most impressed (and a bit intimidated at whether I can offer the same creativity and witty comentary). Time will tell whether this is to be the successful venue.  I am committing to a month, and we'll see where we end up. 

My intent is to provide samples, instructions, ideas and inspiration.  My technical knowledge, however, makes this an interesting challenge.  I'm going to give it a shot...feel free to comment, suggest, or request as you'd like.
